Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are cosmetic treatments that involve the application of chemical solutions to the skin. They are commonly used to improve the skin’s appearance, texture, and tone. They may require some downtime for recovery as the skin may become temporarily red, swollen, and may peel for several days.

Deep peels are the most intensive and utilize strong acids, such as phenol. They can significantly improve the appearance of deep wrinkles, scars, and severe sun damage. Due to the deep penetration, these peels usually require a longer recovery period, with potential side effects like swelling, crusting, and discomfort.

Chemical peels can address various skin concerns, including fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, uneven pigmentation, and sun damage. They stimulate collagen production, which helps improve skin elasticity and firmness.
